Spotting extra yard sales around town cut my furniture budget in half

I saw three new yard sales on my street last weekend. Picked up a solid wood desk for twenty dollars. What local finds have helped your budget?

Got a buddy who found a perfectly good couch just sitting on the curb last Tuesday...

That's both awesome and kind of sad at the same time. So much perfectly good stuff gets tossed out every day. What a waste.
