Unpopular take: I stopped meal prepping and saved more money
Three years ago in Austin, I was a diehard Sunday meal prepper, dropping $120 a week on chicken and rice containers. Last month I quit cold turkey and started buying from the dollar store near my office. My grocery bill fell to $65 a week because I stopped wasting food I never actually ate. Has anyone else found that strict meal plans cost more than just grabbing cheap basics as needed?
