Why does nobody talk about the $4 rotisserie chicken being cheaper than raw chicken at Costco
Last weekend I was in line at the Costco in Fort Worth and the guy ahead of me grabbed two rotisserie chickens while I had a raw 5 lb pack in my cart. He said the cooked ones are $4.99 and the raw pack I was holding was $22. I did the math right there on my phone and a whole cooked chicken gave me more meat than I thought, plus no oven time and no seasoning to buy. I started buying two of them a week and pulling the meat for lunches and soups, and my grocery bill dropped about $30 a week. My wife thinks I am crazy for not cooking from scratch but the numbers do not lie. Has anyone else switched to the cheap cooked chicken over raw, and what do you do with the bones?
