I spent $75 on a fancy fountain pen for my bullet journal and it was a total waste

I got it about two months ago thinking it would make my writing look amazing, but the ink bleeds through my regular journal pages (I use a basic Leuchtturm). Now I have ghosting on the back of every page, which really messes with my spreads. On the other side, some people say a good pen is worth it for the feel, and maybe I just need different paper. But for me, it just sits in a drawer. Has anyone else bought a special pen that didn't work out with their usual notebook?

Honestly I saw a whole thread on a stationery blog about this exact problem. They said a lot of fountain pen ink is just too wet for thin paper like in a Leuchtturm. Tbh you might need a notebook with much thicker paper, like Tomoe River, but that gets expensive too. It's super annoying to buy a nice pen and then have to change your whole system. I get why you just put it in a drawer.

Seventy-five dollars for a pen that bleeds? I'd be so mad!

That price point should guarantee PERFECT performance, not basic flaws. It's a total breach of trust with the brand. Paying for luxury means expecting zero issues.
