The fancy ruler set I bought for my layouts was a total waste of $28
Been bujoing for about a year and figured I needed all these stencils and rulers to make my spreads look clean. Bought this big kit online, 28 bucks, thinking itd save me time. Turns out I just draw lines by hand faster and the stencils never line up right on the dots anyway. Theyre sitting in a drawer now. Anyone else ditch the fancy tools and go back to plain pen and ruler?

Wait, you paid 28 bucks for rulers and they still don't line up on the dots? That's wild. I mean, I get that stencils look cool in the store photos but they never account for the actual grid spacing, it's like they're made for plain paper and then they just fail us. I spent 15 on a rolling ruler once and that thing just slid everywhere and made my lines look like a drunk spider crawled across the page. Honestly, a plain old metal ruler and a steady hand does more than any fancy kit ever will, and you can't even blame the tools when it's messy, it's all on you.
