Dropped $1,200 on a paid lead list for my pressure washing biz and half the numbers were dead
Got a list of 800 "verified" contacts from one of those list brokers back in March and after calling through the first 200 I counted 93 disconnected numbers. Wanted to warn other owners before they burn cash on the same thing. What's actually worked for you to get local leads without paying per name?

Skip the list brokers and pull addresses straight from your county property records, they're free and most have an online search. Filter for homes older than 15 years and hit those first since the driveways and siding actually need cleaning. I also posted in three local Facebook groups offering a free driveway rinse for the first ten folks, got more real leads in a week than any paid list ever gave me.
