Picked up a tip from a random YouTube comment about layer settings in CAD

Hatch lines are tricky because you think you got the angle right until you really look at it. Actually that's the thing about cross hatching that most people miss - it's not just the angle, it's the spacing between lines that makes it pop. Getting that consistent gap between each line is harder than the angle itself, trust me. A lot of folks focus too much on the tilt of the pencil and forget to keep their hand moving at a steady pace. Once you nail both together though, yeah, you get lost in it for way too long.

Had a chat with a dev yesterday that flipped my take on AI code assistants

Nah @adam186, pretty sure the real wall is devs who just don't know how to prompt right.

My "Net 30" payment ran 67 days late and here's how I fixed it

That 3% discount trick is genius actually. I've seen a few freelancers do that with a small penalty for late payments instead and it just makes people defensive. Positive reinforcement works way better than punishment in business too.

That ultralight sleeping pad lost 2 inches of air over 3 nights in Yosemite

Not sure I totally buy that, lol. The whole point of ultralight is cutting weight and a half foam setup kinda defeats that since foam is heavy and bulky. I've had cheap inflatables that lasted years and pricier ones that popped first trip. It's more about how you set it up and clear the ground than the brand or denier count. If you're really worried, get a cheap foam pad to throw under the inflatable, but calling all ultralights bubble wrap is a stretch.

Tried subbed vs dubbed for a 12-episode anime and sub won by a long shot

Man that's exactly what I found too. I watched the dub first and it was fine, but when I went back for the sub it was like a completely different show. The way the Japanese VAs deliver those intense emotional scenes, especially near the end, just hits you right in the gut. The dub voices sounded way too clean and polished, like they were reading lines instead of actually feeling them. Subbed Steins;Gate is the only way to go for me now.
