A customer's simple comment made me rethink my whole pork chop display

A regular at my shop in Springfield told me yesterday, 'Your chops look lonely, just sitting there plain.' I always just laid them out in rows on the white tray, thinking neat was best. So today, I put a few sprigs of fresh rosemary between the bone-in and boneless ones and grouped them by thickness. It looks way more inviting now, like a meal you want to cook. Anyone else tweak their case setup based on what folks say?

Guess it shows we don't always see our own displays clearly.

Sometimes a small change really does make a difference... we started putting lemon wedges by our fish fillets after a comment and sales went up. That little bit of color and suggestion just works.

Honestly, I think that's overthinking it. People buy meat because they're hungry, not because it's styled with herbs. It's a pork chop, not a photo shoot. Beth_kelly has a point about not seeing our own displays, but sometimes a clean, simple tray just looks more professional. All that extra stuff just gets in the way and wilts.
