Old school hand plane to a track saw, biggest shop shift for me

For 14 years I did all my cabinet panels with a hand plane and a shooting board, tuned it every single morning before coffee. My joints were solid but slow, maybe 8 panels a day if I was really on it. Last spring I bought a used track saw off a guy in Columbus for $260, figured I'd try it on a big built-in job. First time I ripped a 10 foot sheet square without breaking a sweat, I knew I wasn't going back. The handle sockets and edge banding still get the plane, but the saw handles all the big cuts now. It's not about being lazy, it's about using the right tool for the speed of the job. Anyone else made a switch like that and kept the old tool for finishing work only?
