PSA: Lost 3 door fronts to a dull planer knife on a Friday rush job
I was trying to bang out 14 shaker doors for a kitchen in Salem before the weekend and tore out a whole stack because I skipped swapping the knives. A cabinetmaker down the street told me he sharpens every 40 board feet no matter what, and now I keep a spare set on the shelf. Does anyone else track planer knife life by footage or just by feel?
