The drawer slide exploded in my face during a $4,200 oak vanity install in Amarillo
Was installing a custom oak vanity for a lady in Amarillo and when I pushed the third drawer in, the cheap ball bearing slide blew apart and shot little steel balls all over her tile floor. I crawled around for 20 minutes picking them up while she watched me from the doorway holding her cat. Turned out I grabbed the wrong box of slides from my truck and they were rated for like 15 pounds, but I said nothing and swapped them out the next day. Anybody got a good way to keep slides sorted in the truck so this never happens again?
Did the box actually have the weight rating printed on it or did you just assume they were the right ones when you grabbed them? Sounds like your truck is a mess if a 15 pound slide box ended up mixing with the heavy duty stuff. What separates the light and heavy slides in your setup right now?
