A guy in Fresno showed me his coax map from 1998 and it made me feel old
I was helping him move some old gear out of his garage and he pulled out this laminated map of the whole city's coax runs that he drew by hand back when he was doing plant work. He said back then they had 400 miles of coax in that one system and now half of it is just sitting dark underground. I did the math and that's more cable than I've probably run in my entire career. It got me thinking about how the trade shifted from drawing maps with a pencil to everything being on a tablet now. How many miles of coax do you guys figure you've pulled in your whole time doing this?

400 miles in one city? That's insane.
