Got a weird signal bounce issue in a new apartment building downtown

The drop was perfect, but the modem kept losing sync every 47 minutes exactly. Anyone else run into a timing loop like that and have a fix?

Wait, that's super specific. Did you check if there's a scheduled reboot on the modem itself?

Yeah, the "scheduled reboot on the modem itself" thing is a bit off. That setting is almost always in your router's admin page, not the modem. The modem just talks to your ISP, but the router is the box that handles your home network and its schedule. It's an easy mix-up to make! You'd be looking for a "maintenance" or "system" tab in your router's settings to find that reboot timer.

Oh man, @theacooper, that is a SOLID point I always forget to check!

Hold on, scheduled reboots are an actual thing you can set? My internet just drops whenever it feels like being dramatic. I've been blaming the weather or my neighbors for years. That's a whole new level of betrayal from a piece of plastic. I need to go dig through my modem settings right now.
