PSA: I'm telling you now, never trust a 'good enough' cable run behind walls.
Just finished a fix where a mouse had chewed through a line that was shoved loose into a cavity. The last crew thought it was fine since the signal passed. But if it's not secured right, anything can happen. I had a call back years ago for the same thing, and it turned into a huge re-pull. Always strap it down tight, even if it takes longer.

Shoving it loose into a cavity is just asking for a permanent problem later.

Tell that to my dentist, @danielowens.

I ran into this on a job last year. A previous installer left lines loose in a drop ceiling, and we got called for signal drops. Took us forever to trace it back to rodents nesting in the cavity. Now I always use proper straps every couple of feet, even if it seems overkill. It adds time upfront but saves so much hassle later. I mean, idk why anyone would skip that step when it prevents callbacks.
