Spent 4 hours chasing a signal leak on a 200ft quad shield run in Boise, was it the fitting or the barrel?
Last Tuesday I had a modem losing sync every 20 minutes on a job in Boise, and I must have reseated crimp fittings 5 times before I realized the actual problem. Turned out the copper stinger on the wall plate barrel was bent just enough to arc, which I only caught after swapping the splitter because a guy I worked with says always check the cheapest part last. Do you all start at the ground block or work backward from the outlet when a signal keeps dropping?
