I finally asked the old timer at the shop on 5th why he keeps a jar of rice on his bench, and his answer about moisture got me rethinking every body cap I own
He grabbed a 50mm that had been sitting in a flooded basement for two weeks in Baton Rouge and showed me the fungus hadn't touched the glass because of how he stored it. Now I want to know, how many of you are actually storing your lenses with desiccant packs or is that overkill?
