Saw a 1970s repair bench at a garage sale in Ohio
Stopped at a random garage sale outside Dayton last Saturday. Old guy had a full bench setup from his camera shop days, complete with a vintage lens spanner and a cleaning station. He let me poke around for an hour, showed me his trick for re-lubing stuck aperture blades with a tiny drop of clock oil. I walked away with a brass focusing tool for $8. Anyone else find good repair gear hiding in weird places like that?

That $8 brass tool is a steal. I found a beat up lens wrench at a flea market in Michigan for five bucks. Threw it in a drawer and forgot about it until I needed it a year later. Garage sales are the best for this stuff, folks just wanna clear out a closet.
