Hand-cut dovetails beat my jig after 3 months of practice
I've been using a dovetail jig for years but last winter I forced myself to hand-cut a set of drawers for a nightstand in Portland. After maybe 40 joints, the fit is tighter and honestly faster than setting up the jig each time. Anyone else find that the traditional method wins once you get past the learning curve?
