Powder actuated nailer misfire at a Reno job site

Was doing framing on a reno in Austin last month, and my nailer jammed mid-shot. Turns out I was using the wrong powder load for the concrete density, switched to a lower charge after a guy on site told me. Has anyone else run into misfires from mismatched loads, or was it just me?
