My knee kicker snapped on a 3rd floor stair job in Tacoma
I was stretching the last flight of stairs on a 3 story house in Tacoma on Tuesday and my knee kicker just snapped at the neck. I had 400 square feet of berber left to stretch and no backup, so I ran to the supply house on 6th and grabbed a cheap one for $80 just to finish. It felt loose in my hand the whole time and the stretch came out uneven near the top landing, which the homeowner noticed right away. Now I keep a spare head and a ratchet strap in the van because that stair run almost cost me the job. Anyone got a kicker that actually holds up on stairs, or am I just hard on them?
