Three checks showed up on the same Tuesday morning
It was just a normal week until I opened the mail and saw payments from a client in Phoenix, a local cafe, and a magazine I did photos for last month. Has anyone else had a weirdly lucky day like that where everything just... came in at once?

Yeah I was reading something about how our brains treat windfalls differently than regular income. Like if you get a bonus or a random check, it feels like free money even though you earned it. So people blow it on stuff they'd never buy with their paycheck. Maybe it's just me but I have to force myself to put that kind of surprise cash straight into savings.

Sounds like a nice surprise but honestly, three checks in the mail is just getting paid for work you already did. It's not like you won the lottery. I've had months where invoices all clear on the same day and it feels great, but then the next month is totally dry. It's just how the billing cycles line up sometimes.
