I stopped chasing every late payment and started sending a $75 late fee notice at day 5
For two years I was that person writing three nice emails before finally getting paid, until a landlord in Tampa owed me $1,800 and admitted he pays the squeaky wheel first. Now I send one flat late notice on day 5, no lecture, and I get paid within 48 hours almost every time. Does anyone else charge a late fee, or do you just build the buffer into your quote?
