Client asked me to 'make the logo pop more' for the 7th time yesterday
Had a Zoom call with a boutique hotel owner in Austin last week. She kept saying 'make it pop' over and over. Finally I asked what she meant exactly and she said 'you know, like make it feel more... poppy.' I swear I almost lost it lol. Tried showing her 3 different color palettes and she still just said 'more pop.' Anyone else have clients who use vague words and expect you to read their mind?

The 'poppy' comment would've sent me over the edge, I had a client once say they wanted their logo to 'feel more like a happy cloud' and I still have no clue what that means.

Happy cloud? I would've just shown them a picture of a puffy white thing and called it a day.

I mean, 'happy cloud' is pretty vague but at least it's a direction, right? A poppy logo though - that's just asking for trouble unless you're literally selling flowers or opium. Maybe they wanted it to 'pop' and just spelled it wrong, which somehow makes it worse.
