inMy immersion blender died mid-soup service last Friday
Right, because nothing says fine dining like hand-mashing squash soup in front of a crowd while your trusty stick blender breathes its last. The chunks just add rustic charm, I guess. Stronger motor is the move, but just remember the smoke smell gets everywhere, even in the whipped cream you’re not serving that day.

inI finally learned to cap notices in contracts after a client in Tucson
Isn't it funny how we assume common sense will carry us through until one bad experience proves otherwise? I've seen the same thing happen with service contracts and even simple rental agreements, where people just expect the law to fill in the blanks. Getting the exact number of days written down saves everyone the headache of arguing later, even if it feels overly formal at the time.

inSpent 2 hours on a 3 minute 'quick fix' for a client's logo
Is it just me or does every single "quick trace" request always turn into a full day of fixing pixelated garbage? @quinn341 you hit the nail on the head, that $5 tip feels like a joke after you've spent two hours just trying to get the anchor points to snap right. I've learned to ask for the original file upfront now, but it's still a 50/50 shot they actually send it. The worst part is when they get mad you can't read the tiny text in the corner of the image... like sorry I'm not a mind reader. Honestly, I'd rather they just send a blurry photo of their screen than a "crisp" JPG that's been saved ten times.
