Tried to binge watch Game of Thrones with my wife and we almost got divorced

So last month we finally decided to watch it from the start since she never saw it. I told her we need to watch two episodes a night to get through it fast. She hit me with a pillow on episode 3 and said I was ruining the vibe by checking how many seasons were left. Now we compromised on one episode a night but she still calls me a speed demon. Has anyone else had to slow way down for a partner?
