inThe day I stopped creaming butter and sugar cold
Wait til you realize you can use cold butter just fine if you beat it longer and scrape the bowl more. People act like room temp butter is some life changing secret but it's really just one way to do it.

inFinally tried the 15/3 credit card payment trick and it actually moved my score 12 points
Heard a buddy do the same thing and his limit went up too" - yeah my friend Jess told me a similar story. She had a Discover card with a $1,500 limit for like two years and couldn't get a raise. She started doing the 15/3 thing for three months and her limit jumped to $3,000 without her asking. But here's the weird part - her score only went up like 8 points the first month, then nothing after that. I think it just depends on how the bank looks at your spending patterns. Some lenders seem to reward it more than others.

inLost six hours of work when my tablet pen stopped mid-stroke yesterday
But like, @paige_bell81, isn't that just kicking the can down the road though? I mean, worn nibs can be a symptom of something else wrong with the valve or the seating. Idk, feels like you'd still want to check the whole assembly before calling it fixed.

inThat tip from a foreman in Phoenix about skipping glue cost me a call back
My own rule of thumb is if someone's giving shortcuts about stuff that's literally holding up a ceiling, they're probably cutting corners everywhere in life too. Seen it a thousand times with subs who race through the easy parts then leave you holding the bag when it goes sideways.

inHad to choose between paper tape and mesh tape on a ceiling repair last Tuesday
Paper tape's actually more flexible when the house shifts seasonally.
