inOverheard a landscaper in Boise talk about a client who wanted a 'natural meadow' in two days
Read an article about a baker who got asked for a fully decorated wedding cake with two days notice. The customer didn't get that the fondant needs time to set, the layers need to cool, and the whole thing can't be rushed. It's the same idea, they just see the pretty photo on Pinterest. People don't realize most good things need actual time to happen, you can't just skip to the end.

inI used to think late fees were a bad idea until a guy in Boise ghosted me for $800
@dianawilson It's the money. The bigger number gets the check.

inChecked out that new 'Zen Den' coworking spot in Austin yesterday
Ugh, that's the vibe everywhere now. Feels like we traded annoying office noise for this weird, sterile quiet.

inA quick paint job turned into a major cleanup after my ladder slipped
Yeah that "sinking feeling" is the worst. @the_robin is right about the dread, you just KNOW it's gonna be bad. For smooth concrete, I use those rubber ladder feet cups you can buy, they GRIP.

inSaw a crew in Boulder using only a single string line for a 200-foot vinyl run, and I think that's asking for trouble.
My laundry line is living proof of that rule. It's basically a hammock for my socks at this point. Should have listened to the two line advice years ago. Now my t shirts all have a weird permanent dip in the middle.
