What finally worked for me was setting a hard revision limit. I made it clear up front that we'd do three rounds and then you need to lock it in, and got a partial payment before starting. It sounds strict but it saved the relationship.

That reminds me of a client who kept adding boxes after we quoted their move. Putting a cut-off time for inventory changes saved us so many headaches. Clear limits just make everything run smoother for everyone.

Ever notice how this happens everywhere now? Like when you order food online and they let you add items right up until the driver leaves, it just makes the whole order late. That's why @victor_jenkins's cut-off idea is so key. It's not just about moving boxes, it's about setting a line that stops the slow creep of more stuff, more changes, more last-minute panic. We need those clear stop signs just to get basic things done.

Our 5 PM Friday deadline sometimes just creates more last minute panic.
