Dropped $89 on a voice recorder for client calls and it saved me from a total mess
So I had this guy who kept changing his mind on a logo project, right? Like every single week it was a new direction, and I was losing my mind trying to keep track of what he actually asked for. After the third round of revisions he started saying stuff like "I never wanted it that color" and I just sat there like, are you serious right now? So I went on Amazon and grabbed a little $89 voice recorder, nothing fancy, just something I could clip to my shirt. Next call I asked if he minded if I recorded so I could catch every detail, and he said sure, no problem. Fast forward two weeks and he tries to pull the same thing about the font, so I pulled up the recording and sent him the timestamp where he literally picked it himself. He went quiet and then said "oh, I guess I did say that" and that was the end of it. Has anyone else started recording calls for stuff like this, or do you just deal with the back and forth and hope for the best?
