inBought a $400 thermal camera for tracing door operator circuits.
Oh come on, @skyler217, that sounds like a total headache. Those circuits are a mess of safety interlocks and weird voltages. You'd spend more time figuring out what wire does what than actually fixing the problem. A simple multimeter and the wiring diagram is way faster and less frustrating. Using a fancy tracer on that is just making a simple job complicated for no good reason.

inBought a cheap respirator for grinding and it failed in under a month
Ever try the ones with the rubber strap instead?

inMy client's husband thought I was a plumber because of my tool bag
Ha, @max716, someone once asked if my foil was for a science project.

inEveryone says you need a fancy home office, but my best work week ever was from a picnic table in Boise last month
Right? I used to be all about the perfect setup, but that kind of thing really makes you rethink it.

inI've been making my own broth wrong for years and only just figured it out
Freezing scraps is the real trick. I keep a gallon bag in the freezer for onion skins, carrot tops, and celery ends. It builds up over a week or two. Those frozen bits break down way better in the pot. The flavor gets deep and almost sweet. Total waste-free win.
