Ngl I finally fired my worst client last month and wow

I had this client from a real estate agency in Austin who kept asking for new header images every single week. After 8 months of constant revisions on a simple $500 a month retainer, I finally told them no. Honest to god, the time I got back let me take on two better clients who actually respect my process. Has anyone else felt that weird relief after cutting a bad client loose?

Wait, you actually fired a client that was paying you? I used to think any money was good money, but god that sounds like a weight off your shoulders. Last year I had a woman who wanted me to rewrite her entire website every time she changed her mind about her business name. She paid me $300 a month and it took up all my evenings. I finally told her I couldn't do it anymore after she asked for yet another round of changes on a Sunday night. The next month I took on a local bakery and a dog walking service that actually listened to me. It's crazy how much lighter you feel when you stop trying to please someone who will never be happy.

Setting clear boundaries upfront saved me from ever needing to fire someone again.

My friend let a client go last year and said it felt better than getting a raise.
