Signed off on my $250 quote over the phone and never once brought up price when we walked the place together. I spent 5 hours on that unit scrubbing baseboards, inside the oven, and the shower grout that was straight up black. Next day he texts me saying the place was cleaner when his last girl did it and he'd only send me $175, which was a weird number to pull out of thin air. Meanwhile my other landlord customer in Gilbert pays $300 flat and never says a word besides thanks. So here's my take: the folks who want a big list of tasks done off the books for cash are almost always the ones who pull the payment stunt. Anyone got a line you use before booking to figure out who's gonna try this?
