I Turned Down a $3,000 Gig Because the Guy Wouldn't Sign a One Page Contract
Everyone says I'm crazy for walking away from easy money, but I picked no contract over a deposit when a prospect in Dallas said 'we don't do paperwork for small jobs.' He pushed back twice on a simple scope sheet, so I passed and he found someone else in a day. Has anyone actually gotten burned by skipping the contract, or am I being too picky?
