inDropped $80 on a JIS screwdriver set and it saved my Canon AE-1
Eighty bucks is a lot but if you've ever tried to use those cheap $10 kits on delicate electronics you know why people spend more. Stripping a screw on a camera lens mount is a nightmare, I've seen it happen. The precision tips on the good sets actually stay sharp and don't bend. Plus if it saves you a $300 repair bill or replacing a whole camera body it pays for itself quick. Worth it in the long run.

inTried putting my bread dough in the fridge overnight to save time the next morning and it actually rose better than my usual counter method
Same here, cold proofing totally saved my sourdough game too.

inThe way I used to shape shoes on the anvil was all wrong until 3 years ago
Pretty sure it's "perform" not "preform" but yeah, hot for the whole shoe.

inCan we talk about how air fryer chicken thighs changed texture after 3 months?
Noticed the exact same thing with mine around month four.

inSpent 3 hours rewriting a prompt that needed 4 words swapped
Wait, how long did you sit there trying to rework that whole paragraph before it hit you? I've been there so many times, it hurts. I spent a whole afternoon once writing this scene where a guy is trying to apologize to his dad, and I kept adding more dialogue and arguments and flashbacks. Finally I just cut everything and wrote "he set the phone down without saying goodbye." That one line did more work than all the other paragraphs combined. Sometimes you gotta stop digging and just plant the flag, you know? The original line I kept trying to save was something like "the air grew thick with unspoken words" and I was so proud of it, but it was just getting in the way.
