Overheard a potential client bragging about how they 'never pay full price' for creative work
I was at a coffee shop in Denver yesterday and the person at the next table was telling their friend they always lowballs freelancers after the work is done. They literally said, 'I just say the final product isn't what I pictured.' That's an instant 'no' from me now. Has anyone else caught a red flag in public like that?

Man, how do people think that's okay? I used to believe giving a lower rate to get the client was worth it... but hearing someone brag about a trick like that changes things. It just shows they don't value the work at all. Now I see that kind of talk as a huge warning to stay far away.

Totally see that everywhere now. People treat respect like some optional extra instead of the whole point. Makes you question their character from the jump.

Ever have a client try that trick on you?
