Took on a $200 graphic design project that turned into a 3 month nightmare
So this client wanted a simple logo for their dog walking business, agreed to $200 flat. We met at a Starbucks near my place in Phoenix, seemed fine at first. After I sent the draft, they asked for 14 revisions over 2 months, including one where they wanted me to add their cat 'somewhere in the background of the logo' lol. I finally told them I'd need an extra $50 per extra revision and they got super mad called me a scammer. Never paid a cent and I just wrote it off as a lesson. Has anyone else had a client go nuts over tiny changes like that?

The "add the cat somewhere in the background" revision would've been my red flag, honestly. I learned the hard way to put a hard cap on revisions in the contract before I even send the first draft. For a flat $200, I'd say three rounds of changes max (that forces them to think before they ask). Next time, get half upfront too, it saves you from eating the whole cost when they bail.

Wait, they actually asked you to photoshop a cat into the background for a flat $200?
