Rant: My EV charger died right when I needed it most
Last Tuesday I get home from a 12 hour shift, plug in my car like always, and nothing. Dead screen, no lights, just silence. Turns out the charger's internal breaker fried itself after 3 years of heavy use. I called the manufacturer and they said the warranty expired last month, of course. Now I'm stuck using a regular outlet which takes like 30 hours for a full charge. I had to borrow my neighbor's charger for the next few days just to make my commute. Is there any reliable home charger brand out there that actually lasts, or should I just accept this is a yearly expense?
