Kept putting off Python for JavaScript, and a mail route finally settled it for me
For about 6 months I kept going back and forth between learning Python or JavaScript as my first language. I picked JavaScript last month after my supervisor asked if I could help fix a simple form on our route tracking page, and it turned out all those browser DevTools tutorials actually stuck with me. Python looked cleaner for a beginner, but seeing my code do something on a screen I already stare at all day kept me going past week 2. Anyone else pick their first language based on what was right in front of them instead of the usual advice?
