Appreciation post: How I started reading letters pages again

I always skipped the letters pages in my comics, thought they were just old news. Then a buddy pointed out how they predicted a big twist in a Batman story from the 90s. Now I read them every month and it's like getting extra context for free. My understanding of the stories has gotten a lot better.

Letters pages are the real bonus features. @felix_miller50 gets it with the creator thoughts.

Remember reading old X-Men letters pages where fans were furious about a costume change, and Claremont basically said "tough, it's staying." That raw back-and-forth is gone now, replaced by polished social media posts.

That "extra context" can even show what the creators were thinking, honestly.

Yeah but @skyler622, letters pages feel less like bonus features and more like a time capsule now lol. They show what fans thought week to week, not just what creators wanted to say.
