Found a long lost issue at a garage sale in Dayton, best 50 cents ever
I was digging through a box of old toys and paperbacks last Saturday when I spotted a beat up copy of Batman #408 sticking out. The guy wanted a dollar but let me have it for 50 cents since the cover was half torn off. Turns out it's the first appearance of the second Jason Todd, which I weirdly never owned despite collecting since 1998. Anyone else ever stumble on a key book in the weirdest place, like not at a shop at all?

Man, what a score! That feeling of digging through junk and finding something real is the best, and for 50 cents? That is just crazy. I once pulled a beat up copy of New Mutants 98 out of a quarter bin at a flea market in like 2003, cover was hanging on by a thread, but it was still there. Stuff like that never happens when you are actually looking for it, it only shows up when you least expect it. Sounds like you earned that one.
