Wrote off digital comics for a decade, then a $2 Comixology sale in Chicago changed my mind
I swore I'd never read comics on a screen. Something about paper just felt right to me, so I kept telling people digital was a waste of money. Last fall I was stuck on a long trip home from Chicago and my bag was already packed with four heavy trades, so I grabbed a digital bundle for $2 just to have something to read on the plane. I finished the entire run in two days and my back thanked me because I wasn't hauling around 6 pounds of paper. The panel zoom on my tablet actually let me catch details I'd missed in print for years, little background stuff in the art. Now I still buy floppies for stuff I really love, but digital is where I try new series without risking $20 on something I might hate. Anybody else switch sides on this, or am I just late to the party?
