Just realized I dove with a wrist-mounted depth gauge for 6 years before switching to a console
First three years in the Gulf I ran a wrist gauge and an old hose timer on every job and thought it was fine. Then a supervisor in Morgan City pointed out I was twisting my whole body to read the gauge during a wet bell run, which was slowing me down on the wrench work. Switched to a console gauge strapped on the harness 2 years ago and never looked back. Now I get into fights with the young guys who swear wrist is faster on shallow inspection work. Which side are you on and why?
