Bought a $300 power trowel blade kit that lasted one pour

Grabbed a set of those cheaper combo blades off an online deal, thought I was saving cash over the name brand. First big slab in Austin, 40 yards, and the fins wore down before I finished the second pass. Had to switch back to my old blades and finish by hand on half the floor. Lost about $80 in material and a solid 3 hours of daylight. Anyone else burned on budget blades, or did I just get a bad batch?

Bought the same kind of deal last spring and learned that lesson hard. Mine lasted maybe half a day before the edges started flaking off like cheap paint. Ended up borrowing my buddy's Marshalltowns and never looked back, the $80 I "saved" just went straight into extra labor.
