Saw a stat that 3 of the top 10 largest pours in the US last year were in Texas, and I have questions
I was reading through a piece from the American Concrete Institute about the biggest continuous pours of 2024 and 3 of them were in Texas alone, including one in Houston that hit over 20,000 cubic yards in a single shot. I have done some big pours but nothing close to that, and it made me think about how many finishers and pump trucks it would take to keep up with a pour that size before it sets. How do you even plan a crew rotation for something like that, or do you just accept that the first guys on are going to be cooked by hour 6?
