Just caught a 'time is of the essence' clause that would've cost me $2,300
My concrete sub contract had that sneaky line buried on page 4, so I asked for a 72 hour cure notice instead of 24 and the GC actually agreed without a fight, has anyone else pushed back on that one?

Man, my buddy got burned by this exact thing last summer. His electrician contract had a 24 hour notice buried in there and he missed it by like six hours because of a family thing, ended up eating almost three grand out of pocket. He tried to fight it after the fact and the GC just pointed at the signature page. After that mess he started asking for 72 hours on EVERY contract before he signs anything, and honestly most of them say yes because they know 24 hours is nuts. Good on you for catching it on page 4, that stuff is sneaky.
