Back in March I signed up for this small business insurance policy and my cousin's wife, who works in HR, glanced at the contract and pointed right at the auto renew line. She said "cross that out or they'll lock you in for another year no matter what." I thought she was being dramatic so I signed it anyway. Sure enough, I tried to cancel 2 months ago and they hit me with a $1,200 fee for the next cycle because the window to opt out closed 60 days before the end date. Has anyone had luck fighting these auto renew fees or am I just stuck paying it?
