That $40 laser level from Harbor Freight actually held up for a whole kitchen reno
I’ll be honest, I bought one of those cheap laser levels on a whim last spring when I was doing a tile backsplash in Nashville. Figured it would crap out after one use or the line would be crooked. But after checking it against my brand name level on a 10 foot wall, the line was dead on. I used it for setting cabinet heights, aligning outlets, even checking floor flatness before laying vinyl plank. The battery finally died after like 6 straight weeks of daily use. For forty bucks I’m actually impressed. Has anyone else had good luck with the cheap red lasers or did I just get lucky?

Wait, six straight weeks of daily use? That's wild, I figured those things die after like three days.

Tbh @the_faith I thought the same thing until I tried it with my old Kindle. I left it on for like six weeks straight just to see what would happen and it barely dipped below 40 percent. Honestly I think the trick is turning off wifi and keeping the light low. I never use the backlight during the day and it makes a huge difference. Ngl I was shocked too but now I only charge mine maybe once a month.

Honestly that's a HUGE relief to hear, I was worried mine was defective or something. I've been treating mine like it was gonna die any second too.
