The supply house guy told me to skip the cheap tape, he was 100% right
I always grabbed the $6 pack of masking tape for my paint jobs, figured why spend more. Last month a supply house rep in Cleveland said I'd be back in 3 weeks complaining about bleed-through, and sure enough I was. The cheap stuff left residue on every window frame and I had to redo an entire trim job for a $1,800 loss. Swapped to the mid-grade blue tape they had on the counter and it came off clean, no touch-up needed. Anyone else get burned by pinchpenny tape on a big job, or is this just my luck?

Ha! Nothing says "pro" like paying $1,800 for tape school.
