Vent: spent $210 on a vacuum breaker rig for my pressure washer and I'm not sure it was worth it
Last month I picked up a used 4000 psi pressure washer for $380 off a guy in Phoenix, and I had to decide between a basic hose bib vacuum breaker for $12 or a full testable backflow rig for $210. I went with the $210 rig because I do some commercial work and didn't want to get dinged on an inspection. Three jobs in and honestly it's been a pain, the thing is heavy, it leaks at the test port, and no client has ever asked to see it. My plumber buddy says I'm covered if the city ever checks me, but that feels like $210 for a maybe. Anyone running these on residential only, or am I overthinking this whole backflow deal?
