One client's 3 word email made me rewrite my whole contract
They wrote 'too vague, redo' after I sent a 2 page scope doc for a $400 job in Austin, so I cut everything down to bullet points with exact revision counts and payment dates, has anyone else found shorter contracts actually hold up better in disputes?
Remember shorter docs dont mean better coverage, the real test is whether your terms are crystal clear in any format. But yeah, cutting the fluff probably forced you to actually define things like revision counts instead of leaving em open ended. Did that 3 word email end up saving you from a headache down the road?
