Two sides: should a freelancer get paid a kill fee if the project dies after I already did 60% of the work?
Back in March a guy hired me for a logo and brand kit, $800 flat. We signed a one page agreement. He killed it at the 60% mark after two rounds of changes and paid me nothing past the deposit. My side: the work exists, I put in 3 weeks, I should get a kill fee or a pro rata cut. His side: no final product delivered, no final payment. Fair or not? I want to hear from both camps. What would you have put in the contract?
